Oh, guys!  this bread is surprisingly good! want a piece?

The best part is when you are experimenting and everything goes well, but sometimes it does not, and you have to start again until it reaches your expectations, but if you don`t do it, you never know how would it turn, right? and I love to do new things first at all to be more healthy for me, my family and for you of course, and because I love to do it!, so this is my new bread recipe, it has an amazing flavor, nice crust, it`s moist, it`s made only with purest ingredients, most of them are resistant starch:  the sweet potato, taro root and cassava flour that I have been talking about on this post.

Sometimes life squeezes us without contemplation, sometimes it takes us better, but we must stay on our feet, what I am trying to say is that it takes a lot of work to get the best and healthy food that is expensive most of the time, do not think that I swim in money, I only prioritize the most important things above everything else, I can not buy everything organic, not because I do not want but I can not, but I ask you to make an effort, it is preferable to buy it than to have the best watch, shoe, or cell phone that is fashionable, think that other possibilities sometimes meet the requirements even if they aren`t a recognized brand, but of the food depends on the harmony, health and stability of our whole body in all the senses, more than we can imagine, we are what we eat, this is just a call of attention for all.

For example, if you are going to make a change in your diet, go little by little with priorities, change the oil you eat, buy organic vegetables and fruits, change wheat flour for gluten-free, learn to read the labels of the products, and avoid what hurts, little by little you will see changes in your body.

I would have liked to be graduated in this field and then be a chef or vice versa, but I did not have the money to pay for it, I hope someday I can achieve it at some point, but while, I read, study all the free information I can from those who know more, I see their videos and the results obtained of the investigations because I need to be and teach my family and all of you before I did not have the chance to know anything where I lived, I followed the herd and ended up feeling bad, even psychologically.

So let`s do it with love!

Process to make Spiced Resistant Starch Sweet Potato-Taro Root Bread (Paleo, Gluten-Free, Whole30, Gut-Health, Nut-Free).jpgLine a bread tin with parchment paper and set it aside, mine is 5 x 8 inch but you can make it in the other small tin, it will be higher than mine but the time to bake will increase.

Wash, peel and chop the sweet potato and taro root, measure them.

Throw into a food processor and process until you have a rice texture.

Add the eggs, oils, and process again.

In a bowl mix well the dry ingredients.

Then add the other dry ingredients at once, mix it up altogether until the dough is formed.

Pour into the bread pan, spread it evenly.

Bake between 45-55 minutes or until a toothpick comes clean.

Enjoy as a breakfast, snack, or as a side dish!

Notes: It`s absolutely not necessary to include any sweetener if you want salty bread because the sweet potato gives it a bit of sweetness, but it`s up to you to add one or more tablespoons of maple or coconut syrup, honey, or another sweetener, and change these spices for cinnamon, ginger, pumpkin spice, or anything that makes your heart pleased.

At the time I made it, I did not have ghee and I used organic grass-fed salty butter, that`s why I put in the ingredient list between 3/4 to 1 teaspoon of salt, counting with the salt into the butter, but for my taste, I think it`s better 1 teaspoon if you use it without salt, it`s better 1 tbsp the first time you make it, then you can adjust it to lesser or more than this.

If you want to know how I made the Butter Sauce accompany the bread, see below:

Butter Sauce:

Ingredients:
  1. 1/2 bar butter (4 oz) or 1/3 cup ghee at room temperature
  2. 2 tbsp virgin olive oil
  3. 1 big garlic clove thinly minced or 2 medium
  4. 3/4 tsp fresh parsley or 1/2 tsp dried
  5. salt to taste
  6. black pepper to taste
Instructions:

Stir all the ingredients in a small bowl until is smooth.

Use it instead of just the butter, believe me, it`s awesome!
