When you are changing the way of eating, you don´t have to feel hungry and the food that can fill you with the best nutrients is wholesome. 

The lettuce has nutritional values that you can´t skip, it can be added to any salad, juice, or soup.

The famous tortillas that are in the markets today aren´t good for your health, they are filled with gluten, bad oils, and preservatives, but you can put them out of your life, and make them by yourself, with healthy and gluten-free ingredients, or substitute them for vegetables. That´s why I prefer the paleo style with organic ingredients, while is possible, also is a ketogenic recipe because is a low-carb recipe that makes your body burn more fat because you are taking away carbohydrates or lessen them.

The romaine lettuce has a good quantity of vitamin A and K, also contains vitamin C, E, B6, folate, thiamin, niacin, riboflavin has calories, carbohydrates, and fiber, it provides minerals like potassium, iron, calcium, phosphorus, zinc, sodium, and manganese, and Is a good source of amino acids.  

Thanks to those nutritional facts that it has, the lettuce could help the control of anxiety, induces sleep, helps control inflammation, and the best functions of the neurons brain, can lower the bad cholesterol, provides the body with antioxidants, and has antimicrobial properties.

Ginger is a spice or condiment, it has stunning properties because contains gingerol that has been demonstrated that has medicinal effects, also has a unique and rich flavor. You can find it as powder, tea, fresh or essential oil.

The health benefits of ginger root are, lowers cholesterol, has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties,  improves immunity, can reduce pain in general, helps heal ulcers, support the digestive system, and aid nausea, enhance diabetes, combats cancer, is anti-fungal and helps weight loss.

This recipe is very fresh and tasteful, the combination of salty and sweet is spectacular, but first of all is that it is loaded with awesome ingredients that sustaining your body, is also gluten-free and paleo. You can use it for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

The recipe makes  2 servings.



INGREDIENTS                                                                                                                                               
  1. 1 pound of chicken breast (cooked with salt and shredded)
  2. 6 leaves of romaine lettuce (well washed and dry)
  3. 2-3 stalk of fresh celery cut
  4. 3 tablespoons of virgin coconut oil
  5. 1 teaspoon of oregano
  6. 1/2 teaspoon of thyme
  7. 1/4 cup of dry white wine
  8. 1 medium onion chopped
  9. 3 big garlic cloves chopped
  10. juice of 2 lemon
  11. salt 
  12. black pepper to taste
  13. 10 cherry tomatoes
  14. NuNaturals Stevia Ginger Syrup (optional)
  15. 1 teaspoon of virgin olive oil
  16. 1 teaspoon of parsley, cilantro dry or fresh
DIRECTIONS
Over the chicken shredded toss the oregano, thyme, black pepper, salt, and the juice of the lemons. Stir to incorporate (you can do this step in advance the day before or hours before)

In a skillet over medium temperature melt the coconut oil, add the onion chopped until they are translucid.

Add the garlic cloves chopped, and the celery cut then stirs the marinated shredded chicken, and raise the temperature to medium-high.

Fry the chicken until is caramelized, and brown spots appear. Stirring continuously.  At this point, add the dry white wine and let it evaporates.

Turn off the temperature of the stovetop, cut the cherry tomatoes and parsley as you want, and mix well.  

Rectify the taste with salt and black pepper. Stir well.

Put a little salt in your hands and rub the leaves, drizzle with a little quantity of olive oil.

Serve the cooked chicken over 2-3 romaine leaves.

Dripping around the chicken with the Stevia Ginger Syrup. Enjoy!
